Finally Got My Facebook Account Back

Have you ever had a social media account hacked? 😭 Jumping for joy now that I 100% have my Facebook account back from the hacker. 🙌 It took about a week to fully regain access -- which is quite fast, as I met many people during that time who had to wait MONTHS to get their accounts back, or just flat out never get them back at all. This was a scary thought as I watched the hacker delete one of my business pages and interact with me as the other. 😰 Yea, I’m not okay with a hacker being ME. And so, I spent a week being COMPLETELY RELENTLESS. 😡 I’ll be writing an in-depth post on what I did to get my account back and what I learned during the experience, but a few things I did that I think helped: * ✅ I run ads, but couldn’t login to get business support, so I had a friend do it for me on her account (shoutout to my lifesaver, @chrisandellen) ✅ I messaged a ton of contacts to see if anyone had a contact who worked at Facebook and got a bunch ✅ I live-streamed on my other channels asking for help ✅ I messaged the Facebook PR team to share my experience and let them know I would be writing about it, and to ask for a quote ← I got a response right away and the woman told me she would provide a quote and also see how she could help 😐 There is no denying Facebook has a support problem. Facebook users shouldn’t have to take off work -- because I did not work that week -- and become Sherlock Holmes to get their accounts back. At the very least, there should be a way to stop *any* activity on the account while it is investigated. 🤔 What are your thoughts? ___ * * *
