Feeling Like Myself Again: Leading NYC Photo Tour After Quarantine
Feeling like a human again after leading my first tour since quarantine!
🤗
One thing I've struggled with since COVID-19 hit has been a loss of sense of self. Working in travel -- both through my travel blogs as well as my tour company, @nycphototour -- meant that I lost a lot of work.
😔
But it wasn't just the loss of income that hurt. It was the feeling, to an extent, of purposeless. I went from leading and photographing guests around New York City almost daily to barely leaving my apartment for months. It was a shock to the system, to say the least.
😖
This past weekend, I had my first NYC Photo Journey guests, a local couple, since the first week of March. It was their anniversary, and they wanted to do something special to celebrate.
🎉
What is funny is that while they were coming to me for something, I actually got so much out of it, as well, mainly feeling LIKE MYSELF again.
🙃
Hopefully, this is the start of something good.
✨
What are you excited to get back to after quarantine?
❤️
(Quick disclaimer: We did wear masks during the tour, but took them off for the photos).
