Jessie on a Journey
A vibrant and intricate mural adorns a brick wall, depicting a gritty urban scene bursting with colors and intricate details. The central figure is a muscular, tiger-like creature with a snarling expression, its body contorted in a dynamic pose. The creature is rendered in a kaleidoscope of hues, with blues, greens, reds, and purples blending together in a mesmerizing display. Surrounding the central figure are various elements that seem to represent the chaos and energy of city life. Bottles and glasses, possibly representing alcohol or nightlife, are scattered throughout the composition. A phrase painted on the wall, 'What are you doing here?', adds an air of mystery and introspection. The mural is a stunning example of street art, combining raw energy with skilled artistry.

Exploring Red Hook, Brooklyn's Hidden Gem

Whenever mentioning Red Hook, #Brooklyn, I was always told it was “industrial and cool” but “way too difficult to get to.” After making the trip from Bushwick myself, I now realize my friends are really, really lazy. Okay, taking a bus or walking a mile from the subway isn’t ideal but…really? There's so much to enjoy here in terms of food, drink, street art, history, parks and waterfront -- complete with Statue of Liberty views -- it's 100% worth the trip. Here are my personal recommendations: http://jessieonajourney.com/red-hook/
