Jessie on a Journey
The image captures a lively food stall or market scene in what appears to be Mexico City. A person wearing a white apron is shown from behind, tending to a large sizzling pan filled with sauces or stews over an open flame. The stall is adorned with various Mexican culinary items, including fried snacks, salsas, and an array of prepared dishes neatly arranged on the counter. The vibrant colors and bustling atmosphere evoke a sense of the rich culinary culture and flavors of Mexico City. In the background, there are glimpses of other food stalls, suggesting this is a larger market setting, possibly the famous Central de Abasto, the world's largest wholesale market mentioned in the accompanying text.

Exploring Mexico City's Culinary Delights

I'm absolutely loving exploring Mexico City and its delicious flavors with @lemeridienhotels and Executive Pastry Chef @johnnyiuzzini. It's interesting to see how Johnny takes notes on the different local ingredients, as he prepares to craft his latest culturally-influenced eclair for the Le Méridien brand's "Eclair Diaries" project. Along the way, I've also been getting to interact with other local cooks and learn about the local foods of Mexico City. Tip: don't miss Central de Abasto (shown above), the world's largest wholesale market! It's a great place to explore through the palate. James A. Michener said it best with his quote, "If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion and avoid the people, you might better stay at home."
