Exploring El Yunque Rainforest in Puerto Rico

Welcome to the jungle!⁠ 🐍⁠ A walk in the foothills of Puerto Rico’s El Yunque - the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System - introduces me to lizards, bright pink Birds of Paradise, fragrant ginger, tree snails, and some of the jungle’s 300+ tree varieties.⁠ 🐌⁠ Taking Noemi’s Trail, we’re led to a rocky beach with a crystal clear river — perfect for swimming, cliff jumping, and making a splash off a natural Tarzan swing.⁠ 💦⁠ When it starts to rain, I don’t even mind.
