Discovering Bitts Park and Hadrian's Wall Path
What are your favorite parks around the world?
🌿
I recently visited Bitts Park in Carlisle and was blown away by its beauty. At first, I was confused by all of the backpackers with huge packs and walking poles.
🥾
Then I realized that the 84-mile Hadrian's Wall Path -- which takes you along the route of Hadrian's Wall, a defensive fortification that guarded the northwestern frontier of Britain ordered by Roman Emporer Hadrian -- cuts through Carlisle.
🧱
For the Carlisle portion of the walk, you actually hike through Bitts Park. I'd definitely LOVE to do the trek next time I'm in England. In many sections, you can actually still see the original wall!
✈️
A big thanks to @englandoriginals and @discovercarlisle for sponsoring my trip!
