Appreciating Hometown Sunsets

Do you take the time to be *curious* in your hometown? 🤔 ___ Truth: When I'm at home in NYC I almost never stop to watch the sunset. ___ Sure, I may catch it if I'm going somewhere, or if I happen to be at a good happy hour location in the summer, but it's rare that I actively seek it. ___ Travel makes you more curious, more aware and helps you slow down. While there are definitely stressful times on the road -- like when your very expensive camera breaks unexpectedly (sigh) -- it's easier not to sweat the small stuff because you're too busy trying to eat up life and take in every moment. 🍴 ___ For instance, on every single trip I take, I carve out time to watch a sunrise, sunset or both. It's exciting; seeing the way the sky lights on fire then cools off into a palette of purple and pink, or perhaps stays faintly yellow, or moves through a series of orange hues. ___ If you're in Tampa, I highly recommend taking the time to see as many sunsets as possible, particularly from the @tampariverwalk, particularly from @uleletampa with a local honey-infused lager in hand. ___ Cheers! 🍻 ___ 🌴 A big thanks to @visittampabay for sponsoring my trip! 🌴 ___ * * * * *
