Exploring Outside the 303
A recreational vehicle, likely a travel trailer or camper, sits parked in a lavender field. The trailer is white with grey accents and appears to be a modern Catalina model. The lavender plants are in full bloom, creating a stunning sea of vibrant purple hues surrounding the RV. Distant trees line the horizon, hinting at a rural, countryside setting. The scene exudes a sense of tranquility and escapism, offering a unique opportunity for overnight camping amidst the fragrant lavender fields.

Unique Overnight Camping at Lavender Farm

✔️Unique overnight camping spots One of my favorite spots from this past summer was @trinitygardenslavenderfarm in Washington. We were able to stay there because we have a Harvest Host (HH) membership. HH offers unique overnight camping spots at wineries, farms, breweries, museums, etc. for free, they do ask that you patron the location you stay at. We usually spend anywhere from $10 to $30 when we stay at a HH. It costs $79/yr with the option to add access to golf courses for an additional $40/yr. We opted for the basic HH. Pro's: ◾ Cheaper option then most campgrounds ◾ Amazing opportunities to stay at these unique locations ◾ Safer then staying in a parking lot ◾ Website is user friendly Con's ◾ Not always convenient locations ◾ Have to contact each host individually to request a reservation (we have been turned down twice) ◾ Can only stay one night ◾ No hookups (typically) For us, we have stayed at a HH ~3 times per year. Our travel schedule typically doesn't include an overnight as we will drive 4-5 hours and stay for a few days. But this summer our plan is different and will include longer drive days with a few overnights mixed in, so we plan to fully use this membership. We will continue to evaluate if this membership yearly based on our travel plans . If you would like to join HH I have a link in our bio for 15% off a membership. ❓ Have you stayed at a Harvest Host before? If not, what type of location would you want to stay at❓ 🏞️ follow us @exploringoutsidethe303
