Tips for Taking the Shuttle at Zion National Park
How to explore Zion via the Shuttle (save this to refer to later)
If you want to visit Zion and hike the popular trails like the Narrows and Angels Landing you have to either ride your bike to the trailhead or take the shuttle from March to September.
The shuttle has been around for a few years but it is different due to pandemic restrictions. Shuttle tickets are $1, each person (over 2 yrs old) needs a ticket.
Tickets can be purchased at recreation.gov. Some tickets are made available 2 weeks prior to the date, and the rest are available the night before at 5pm MST. Each ticket is specific for an hour slot before 3pm. After 3 pm, additional tickets are made available.
Here are 5️⃣ tips for the shuttle:
1️⃣ Make sure you are logged in and ready before the tickets go on sale as they sell out within minutes
2️⃣ Arrive early to board the shuttle as there will be a long line and the later in the day the greater the chance there will be no parking available at the visitor center
3️⃣ The park rangers are awesome and super helpful, they even let us get in line 20 minutes early
4️⃣ The shuttles run frequently, we waiting no more then a few minutes once we got into the park
5️⃣ Sit back, relax, and take in a the beautiful scenery during the drive
Hope that is helpful and saves you the stress we dealt with trying to figure it out.
Happy Exploring!
