Exploring Outside the 303
A pop-up camper trailer is parked in a driveway or outdoor area with trees and a grassy lawn visible in the background. The camper appears to be an older model, with a white and green color scheme. Its canvas sides are extended, revealing the living quarters inside. The trailer is hitched to a red pickup truck. Additional images show the interior of the camper, including a seating area with cushions, a small kitchen area with a countertop and cabinets, and the canvas exterior with windows.

Starting Small: Our First Pop-Up Camper

4 years ago we purchased our first rig, a '98 Coleman popup ☺ it was a perfect starter for us. It was easy to tow, big enough for the 4 of us plus our 2 dogs, perfect for weekend trips, and it had a large front storage. . . We stayed at camp grounds and did a few bondocking trips within that summer. The only issue, and only reason we updated to a hybrid the next year, was it had no bathroom 🙈. This lady couldn't get over that, I like being outdoors but not that part😆 . . We bought our popup for $1800 off Craigslist. I say that because it's better to start with what you can, and not wait and keep pushing it off for the perfect camper. Just like @keepyourdaydream says, start small, start now. . . This month we celebrate 8 month fulltiming and we can't imagine doing anything else, even with the current state of affairs. What's your camping story, what was your first rig, what do you have now?
