Exploring Outside the 303
A spacious parking lot in the evening with a pickup truck towing a large recreational vehicle (RV) or travel trailer. The RV is parked in an area designated for overnight stays, likely at a Cabela's or similar retailer that allows RV boondocking. The sky is filled with vibrant colors during the sunset, with shades of pink and purple among the clouds. Trees line the perimeter of the parking lot, providing a natural backdrop against the urbanized setting. The scene conveys a sense of freedom and adventure associated with RV travel and boondocking, a practice of camping without hookups in permitted areas.

RV Boondocking at Cabela's Parking Lot

Parking lot Boondocking ⠀ We stayed at Cabelas last night is a last ditch effort to stay close to where we originally planned to be. We've stayed at Walmart and Cracker Barrel's before so the idea is not new to us. ⠀ Cabelas was nice because they have actual spots designated to stay in at the back of the building. Some even have a dump you can use. ⠀ Tips for staying in a parking lot overnight: 🅿️ Overnight parking is allowed at most Cracker Barrels, Walmart, & Cabelas and depending on the state Rest Areas 🅿️ Research in advance the area you are going so you have an idea of what's available 🅿️ Call ahead to confirm overnight parking is allowed 🅿️ Stay grouped together but not on top of each other. We have to put out our slides to access the bathroom and bunkroom so ensure to leave space between rigs 🅿️ Do not (I'll repeat) Do not get out anything (chairs, grills, awnings, etc). This is not a Campground, this is a place of business and we need to respect that. ⠀ ❓Have you boondocked in a parking lot overnight❓ ⠀ Follow us @exploringoutsidethe303
