Exploring Outside the 303
The image depicts a hiker navigating a rugged trail surrounded by towering red-rock formations and sparse vegetation in a desert-like landscape, characteristic of the southwestern United States. The hiker, wearing a colorful backpack and clothing, is carefully walking along a narrow path secured with railings, showcasing the challenging and adventurous nature of the hike. The striking contrast between the vibrant colors of the hiker's attire and the warm hues of the rock formations creates a visually captivating scene. The vast expanse of the rocky terrain and the winding trail suggest a remote and untamed wilderness, offering a glimpse into the grandeur and beauty of the region's natural wonders.

Reservation System for Popular National Parks This Summer

Plan to visit National Parks this summer? 🏞️ Many National Parks are set to break attendance records again this summer and in preparation for this a reservation system will be put into place for many of the most popular locations. Below are the Parks requiring reservations: Acadia NP (Maine) Haleakala NP (Hawaii) Rocky Mountain NP (Colorado) Glacier NP (Montana) Yosemite NP (California) Zion NP (Utah) Most of the reservations can be made 60 days in advance, with a few slots available to be reserved a week in advance to a few days before. Check the specific park website for details (recreation.gov) as there are unique things for each park. It will be interesting to see how this plays out over the summer. As a planner by nature I like the idea of a reservation system for crowd control but struggle as we like the freedom to visit while in the area based on how we feel and the weather. This is your sign to get planning (if you haven't already) and make those reservations. Happy Exploring! ❓What National Parks do you plan to visit this summer❓ @exploringoutsidethe303 @exploringoutsidethe303 @exploringoutsidethe303
