Learning to Tow the RV
Team work makes the dream work 💪
When we first started camping Steve always did the driving then we went full time and the story changed.
Steve wanted me to learn how to hook up, position, and tow the trailer on my own, just incase. He also wanted to share driving on long days.
The first time I towed the trailer I made it 200 miles and then proceeded to pull too far off on an off ramp and ripped off a back stabilizer 🤦
Fast forward to last week, Steve nonchalantly asked me to hook up the truck with his help. I ended up booking up, moving out of our spot, driving 3.5 hours, and pulling into our new spot. 💪
It felt so good to be comfortable with towing 10k lbs and safely guiding the family to our next location. Talk about empowering!
Today is another travel day and it's a long haul (2 days, ~950 miles). We plan to split up driving and I'm looking forward to it.
❓Do you take turns driving or towing your rig? Have you had any mishaps like I did?
