Beignets from Cafe du Monde in New Orleans

Fried pastry with powdered sugar or simply called Beignet 😱 We were told to get some beignets with coffee to truly experience New Orleans. Best tip ever! They taste similar to a sopapilla (more dense but you get the idea) and when you bite into it the powdered sugar coats the roof of your mouth. I am a sucker for sopaipillas and order them anytime I'm at a Mexican restaurant.....ya'll I found the sopapilla of the south! 😂
