Exploring Outside the 303

Homeschool Life: Embracing Flexibility

Children need to be taught how to learn, not what to think ~ Margaret Mead. . . Second semester of homeschool is in full swing, almost at 100 days. Yesterday in our stories, I shared what our day typically looks like and how I organize my supplies. It includes time at the whiteboard, outdoors whenever we can, and plenty of couch reading. Typically we are wrapped up around noon and the kids go play or we can explore depending on my workload. . . We also started an online math group for Miah to help with multiplication through @outschool. He loved it and is looking forward to next week. Addy starts Spanish next week and is really excited. If you haven't heard of Outschool it's worth checking out, they have classes that cover everything from standard school subjects to building minecraft towns to learning musical instruments. . . I'm happy we are able to do schooling this way and add in extra reinforcements when needed. The kiddos are loving it too (most days 😊)
