Exploring Outside the 303
The image captures a scenic view of Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado. In the foreground, a lone, gnarled tree stands tall with bare, twisted branches reaching toward the sky. The tree appears to be an ancient juniper or pinyon pine, its weathered trunk and branches testifying to its endurance in the harsh desert environment. Beyond the tree, the rugged landscape stretches out, revealing a vast expanse of arid, scrubby terrain blanketed in sage and other desert vegetation. The undulating terrain is punctuated by towering sandstone cliffs and mesas, their layers of sedimentary rock worn by eons of erosion into intricate patterns and formations. The warm, earthy tones of the landscape are contrasted by the brilliant azure sky, stretching endlessly overhead. The image conveys a sense of the stark beauty and timeless majesty of the American Southwest.

Exploring Mesa Verde National Park

Let summer begin! We were able to visit Mesa Verde National Park for the first time. The tours were closed but we drove around and checked out the cliff dwellings from afar. Still very cool to see. The greenery in this area still amazes me. . . We are grateful the park is open even with all things COVID. Hopefully next time we go we can get Junior Ranger Badges and get a few hikes in. @ Mesa Verde National Park
