Exploring Death Valley in Winter
Exploring Death Valley National Park (winter edition) ❄️
Death Valley is the largest National Park in the lower 48 states with over 3 million acers. We had 2 days to explore it and only put a dent in our list of spots to check out since it is SO massive. Sorry western side, we will get to you next time 😉
Winter is a great time to visit, besides the obvious cooler weather, we practically had the park to ourselves.
Must see spots in Death Valley National Park:
🏜️ Badwater Basin: the lowest point in North America (282 below sea level)
🏜️ Artists Drive: a 9 mile scenic loop with multicolored hills and canyons, a fun drive with amble photo ops
🏜️ Artists Palette: a half-mile hike to explore the multicolored hills up close, this was the highlights of Artists Drive
🏜️ Zabriskie Point: Golden badlands and recommended for sunrise
🏜️ 2o Mule Team Canyon: 2.8 mile dirt road puts you in the middle of the badlands and offers a fun terrain to drive
🏜️ Golden Canyon/Red Cathedral Hike: 3 mile hike within the golden badlands
We can't wait to get back to explore it more and hit up the western parts in our next visit. We didn't quite know what to expect from this park but we were overwhelmed by its beauty and how colorful it was.
❓Have you been to Death Valley? What spot would you add the list❓
