Benefits of a Second Vehicle for Full-Time Travel

Is a second vehicle worth it for traveling fulltime? It depends on your family and how you travel. We went 2 years without a second car. We enjoyed countless conversations on long drive days, shared driving responsibilities, and enjoyed traveling together during that time. We talked for months on the pro's and con's of a second vehicle and what the trade offs would be. I ran the numbers and we figured we would save on fuel each month and save a lot of miles on the truck. Plus, there were more then a handful of times it would be helpful to have a second smaller vehicle. After talking with many other travel families we found that it was actually quite common and their reasons lined up with what we were thinking. We ultimately decided to find a secondary car and pay cash for it. No need for additional monthly payments. After 6 months of searching off and on, we ended up finding a 2012 Mini Cooper for a great price. We purchased it from a dealership and within a few days we had the title in hand and plated. So far, the Mini has come in handy many times and did I mention how fun it is to drive? Do you consider getting a secondary vehicle? If you already have one, do you love having it? Happy Exploring! @exploringoutsidethe303 @exploringoutsidethe303
