Volcanic Eruption Under Night Sky

Lava spewing all over the mountain side, a lighting storm illuminating the few clouds in the sky, and millions of starts dancing far away from any city lights💥 I was staying at a hostel about an hour away, we were eating dinner and I was about to call it a night for an early sunrise the next day. Then our host said Merapi was erupting and it looked good— about 10 of us immediately started to plan scooters and taxis to get up there. Pulled up to 5,000 stairs I wasn’t expecting haha, after about 40 minutes of watching lightning dance in the sky on our walk up we saw our first bit of the eruption and it was sensational… sent up the drone as soon as we got to the top, set an 8 second long exposure and bam!! The clouds to the right are being illuminated by the multiple lightning strikes while the shutter was open. Such an incredible moment with some amazing people 🌋🤙🏼 God is good!!
