Tips for Smooth Vacations with Kids

What a guy!💙 I love how helpful my kids are on vacation when my husband can’t join us due to work commitments. (*Oops just noticed the typing error on my video caption after posting “When YOUR husband had to stay home…” Oh well😆) Here are some tips for involving older kids on road trips to ensure a smooth vacation, whether you’re taking the kids by yourself or as a whole family: •Discuss expectations in advance, including departure time and how everyone can contribute. •Involve kids in the planning process and consider their interests. •Assign each child a responsibility, such as loading and unloading the car or being in charge of certain tasks. •Rotate seating arrangements so each child gets a chance to sit in the front seat, if your spouse isn’t with you. •Encourage breaks from screen-time periodically to prevent irritability and engage with each other. •Allow kids to choose a snack or treat when stopping for gas, giving them a chance to stretch their legs and enjoy the journey. ➡️Save this for future travels! ➡️Follow our adventures @eastcoast.blondies . . .
