Things that surprised me about Japan 🇯🇵
Visiting Japan with my American perspective had me constantly pointing out all of these differences and I wanted to share what stood out to me
1. How clean everything is! I never saw any trash and there were so many workers cleaning all the surfaces! Including sweeping the parks
2. It's so quite. You can hear a pen drop in the subways. Even the roads are quite
3. Everything is on time! The second transportation is scheduled to leave it is already moving
4. How safe it felt. I never felt the need to hold tightly on to my items. It's safe to have your phone out on the metro, I saw so many people taking naps on transportation!
5. People aren't trying to scam you. If you don't know how much yen to give you could just hold out the money and they will take exactly what is owed
6. It's consider rude to be late. The amount of people I saw running in work clothes was new to me
7. Speaking of work clothes, it was crazy to see how many business men who were dressed in full suits everyday in Tokyo
I could keep going but these were things that really stick out to me! Have you been to Japan? What surprised you 👇🏼
