How to Work With Brands as an Influencer

You don’t need 10K + followers to start working with brands. Here’s what you do need 👇 (📌SAVE this post to reference) 1. First and foremost - get good at producing content! To an extent, quantity over quality because the more you create, the more experience you get & the more skills you will build in the process. Brands are searching for quality photo and video content that they can use on their socials and website, so knowing how to edit photos and videos and doing so consistently on your page (basically your portfolio) is 🔑 2. Know how to communicate and position yourself as an expert. AKA Have a pitch strategy! Remember that the ultimate goal is for you to be able to help the brand, so don’t be shy when it comes to your pitches and sharing your ideas. I’ve had brands so excited by the ideas I pitched that they were willing to consider a collaboration even if they were hesitant at first. Learn what makes you/ this collaboration unique and how to communicate that with brands! 3. Look at rejection as redirection. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - it’s a numbers game!! For every brand collaboration you land, it’s normal to get a dozen (or more) no’s! What I’ve been personally working on lately is working backwards. First, set a monthly income goal, then a base rate / piece of content. From there, you can get an idea of how much content you’d need to produce each month to achieve your goal. You’ll soon realize that you need way less ‘yes’s’ than you think. Honestly let the no’s go and learn not to take it personal because - it isn’t!
