Ever eat underground fungus - one of the most expensive culinary dishes in the world? 🍄 Well, now you can. Tucked away in a little corner across Ala Moana, resides a truffles paradise — @margotto.hawaii. The only dedicated truffle restaurant in Hawaii has been on our bucket list since it first opened in June 2022. Truffle aroma overwhelmed our senses upon entering and as hungry as we were, it only made us salivate. Margotto sources their truffles from Italy, France, Spain, Hungary, and Slovenia. Due to the seasonal nature of truffles, we were fortunate to experience the extremely rare White Winter Truffle during our visit. The ‘A La Carte’ Menu presents a diverse selection of hot and cold appetizers, pasta, entrees, rice dishes, and desserts, priced between $10 and $98. You have the option to enhance the flavor of 15 dishes with a generous serving of truffle. This slice of truffle heaven offers an affordable luxury without the need for glitz and glamor. Whether you prefer a casual or upscale setting, Margotto Hawaii is perfect for special dates, family dinners, or any occasion. With its unique charm, it wouldn’t be surprising if Margotto earns a Michelin star in the near future. 514 Piikoi St, Honolulu, HI 96814 Open Daily: 5pm-10:30pm
