It’s been years since we had homemade mochiko chicken! Mochiko chicken is a Hawaiian style fried chicken. It’s sweet, salty, and fried to perfection! This dish is great served over rice for lunch or dinner. Sprinkle it with green onions, furikake, and you’ve got yourself a delectable Hawaiian meal! We were originally browsing through @foodlandhi recipes to recreate the dish. However, when we visited the store, we came across Hawaiian mochiko chicken mix from @hawaiisbesthawaiianhaupia and had to try it! We made the first batch and went back to the store right away to get more - it was that delicious! If you are looking for a quick meal for the family, try it out and let us know what you think! In case you can’t get your hands on the mix I used, try Foodland’s recipe for Mochiko batter: 4 tablespoons mochiko flour 4 tablespoons cornstarch 4 tablespoons sugar 4 tablespoons shoyu 2 cloves garlic minced 1⁄2 teaspoon grated ginger 1 tablespoon sesame seeds 1⁄4 cup thinly sliced green onions 1⁄2 teaspoon salt 2 eggs Visit the blog for the full recipe and video on how to make mochiko chicken! #ad #hdoaeatlocal #eatlocaltoday . . . . .
