This song always makes me wanna dance and so does this furikake chex mix! šŸ„³ The perfect sweet and salty snack you didnā€™t know you needed! Make a huge batch to share with family and friends during the holidays. Usually, this combo includes pretzels but I eliminated it and will always make it this way from now on. After all, the pretzels usually end up the last ones being eaten or tossed away. šŸ˜† šŸ›’ ingredients from @foodlandhi: ā€¢ 1 box corn chex ā€¢ 1 box rice chex ā€¢ 1 box honeycomb cereal ā€¢ 1 bag bugles ā€¢ 1 bag fritos ā€¢ 1 bottle Maikaā€™i furikake (add furikake if you prefer it with more) ā€¢ 1/2 cup Karo syrup ā€¢ 1 cup unsalted butter (melted) ā€¢ 2/3 vegetable oil ā€¢ 2/3 cup sugar ā€¢ 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (I think this taste better than soy sauce) šŸ‘©ā€šŸ³ Instructions: ā€¢ Preheat oven to 250F ā€¢ In a large pan, place the corn chex, rice chex, honeycomb, bugles, and fritos ā€¢ Make the syrup together in a saucepan: butter, karo syrup, vegetable oil, sugar, and Worcestershire sauce ā€¢ Once the syrup is melted, mix with the chex mix in the large pan and mix ā€¢ Sprinkle the entire bottle of Maikaā€™i furikake over the chex mix ā€¢ Bake for 1hr to 1.5hr - make sure to mix every 15 minutes Bake until the syrup is dry and chex mix doesnā€™t feel sticky. I usually bake it up to 1.5hr and leave out to cool. Make sure to only pack in containers when itā€™s cooled down to keep it crunchy.
