The perfect sweet and salty snack you didn’t know you needed! 🤤🙌 Make a huge batch to share with family and friends during the holidays. Usually, this combo includes pretzels but I eliminated it and will always make it this way from now on. After all, the pretzels usually end up the last ones being eaten or tossed away. 😆
• 1 box corn chex
• 1 box rice chex
• 1 box honeycomb cereal
• 1 bag bugles
• 1 bag fritos
• 1 cup furikake
• 1/2 cup Karo syrup
• 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
• 2/3 vegetable oil
• 2/3 cup sugar
• 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
👩🍳 Instructions:
• Preheat oven to 250F
• In a large pan, place the corn chex, rice chex, honeycomb, bugles, and fritos
• Make the syrup together in a saucepan: butter, karo syrup, vegetable oil, sugar, and Worcestershire sauce
• Once the syrup is melted, mix with the chex mix in the large pan and mix
• Sprinkle furikake over the chex mix
• Bake for 1hr to 1.5hr - make sure to mix every 15 minutes
Bake until the syrup is dry and chex mix doesn’t feel sticky. I usually bake it up to 1.5hr and leave out to cool. Make sure to only pack in containers when it’s cooled down to keep it crunchy.
