An aerial view of a narrow strip of land surrounded by turquoise blue waters, featuring an old and a new bridge side by side. The old bridge is a single-lane structure, appearing dilapidated and no longer in use. The new bridge is a modern four-lane highway, with two lanes in each direction. The land is covered in lush green vegetation, contrasting beautifully with the vibrant blue waters. The bridges connect this strip of land, which appears to be one of the many islands that make up the Florida Keys, to the mainland.

Old and new: The left bridge is an old single lane, each way highway, dilapidated and no longer in use. The right is the new and improved highway of a total of four lanes, two going each way. These bridges connect 43 of over 1700 islands with the majority being uninhabited. A beautiful (2 hour) drive with Key West being the final destination off Florida's mainland from the first key (Key Largo).
