If there's one thing you should do while visiting Austin is that you MUST go on a food tour with @austineatsfoodtours! 🍴✨ Reid and I enjoy doing food tours at every new place we visit for a few reasons: we're able to taste various local foods, sightsee along the way, learn a bit of history on why certain dishes were made, discover places that we probably wouldn't visit independently, and meet fellow foodies from all over the world!
We went with East Austin Happy Hour tour which includes doing a little bit of exploring, by foot, around the neighborhood, boozy drinks at every stop (even the ice cream shop), and delicious bites at some of the best local restaurants. Special mahalo to our tour guide, Jill, for showing us the hidden gems and off-the-beaten-path places during the tour - who also gives extra food to the homeless after each tour!
Austin Eats Food Tours offers two different tours: the East Austin Happy Hour and the Best of Austin Food Trucks. They also do private and corporate events where you can bond through food and drinks - the best kind of team building if you ask me!
