#ad Makapu'u Lighthouse Trail is a glorious 1.5 mile/2.4 km hike to a summit that offers a surreal view; easily accessible for children, adults, and furry loved ones! During this hike, we shared a story about a trail leading off the main Makapu’u Lighthouse Trail to the Tide Pools;. Although beautiful, it is extremely hazardous to expose yourself to the pounding waves, razor sharp rocks, and ever changing tides. Please be careful and never turn your back from the ocean!
