📍Honolulu, Hawaii Started our Labor Day weekend with a hike to the Makapuu Lighthouse. This hike is easy with a paved trail. We recommend going early or late afternoon to beat the crowds and the heat! When we got to the top, Landon and I sat at the edge of the mountain (it's not as scary as it looks) and enjoyed the spectacular view. During the months of December to April, you can see humpback whales everywhere from this hike! They make their annual journey from Alaska to breed in the warm Hawaiian waters. That area is definitely a sanctuary for the humpback whales 🌊🐋
