What type of memory cards do you use? @lexarmemory CFexpress card are about 5x faster than SD even thi theyre comparable in price.
Cannot BELIEVE how different these turned out! 💻 A breakdown of our collab thanks to @lexarmemory 👇 We (@Kelsey J and myself) had a blast doing this photoshoot together, and it was so cool to compare our editing styles! Here’s what we did: 🐎 Kelsey gets over lifelong fear of horses by cuddling with two of them 📷 Vanessa snaps some natural light pics with her Canon EOS R6 II loaded with two @lexarmemory GOLD Series Professional 1800x 256GB Memory Cards 💻 Kelsey and Vanessa upload the files to their Lexar SSD drives, pick a fav and edit directly off their SSD drives on the go Kelsey’s major edit points: - Edited on Lexar SL500 Portable SSD - Edit on an SSD because it has faster editing speeds AND is significantly less likely to corrupt vs. a hard drive - Use the color calibration tool for color grading blue and orange tones - Add a bit of fade (via tone curve) and grain for a more vintage look - Subject select to adjust the tones of the subject (me!) and the horses separately Vanessa’s major edit points: - Edited on Lexar Professional SL600 Portable SSD - Edited on a portable SSD drive bc I’m always traveling and need my work on the go in a stable hard drive that can handle all the turbulence I do! - Bring up shadows to show dress detail - Drop out blues to create color consistency - Added a sunset because it was fun! - Still can’t decide between black and white or color 🤪 Which edit did you guys like better?! And how would you have edited this photo to match your photography style??
This conversation is a HUGE part of photographing anyone, but especially corporate headshots and small business lifestyle sessions. Knowing their goals and how they want to be perceived, not how you perceive them, is key to a successful session for both the photographer and client. Thanks to @lexarmemory for giving me the opportunity to work more closely with them and for these incredible cards and SSD drive that I worked off of SEAMLESSLY for editing and processing these images. Couldn’t be happier! Sponsored by Lexar
