Using Color Tone and White Balance in Photography

Ever mess with your color tone or WB shift? They are two very underutilized tools in your camera. The color tone shift the green to magenta color and the white balance shift can shift allllll over the color spectrum. - When doing a setup like this where you’re using a green gel on your flash, it’s so that you shift the WHOLE image magenta until your subjects stop being green, and then your background will turn magenta. - If you don’t know where that is on your camera I highly suggest you do a quick Google search to find it, and if not yes you can always make that magenta shift in post (but who wants more work later?). Just remember to put it back when you’re done doing this little trick lighting set up. You don’t want the rest of your photos to go pink!! -
