Timeless Wedding Celebration
I’ve been wanting to do a post on this for quite some time.
EDITING possibilities are literally infinite. I’ve rough edited this photo to first be my style (which I’ll explain later), and then copy some editing trends I’ve seen lately. This IS NOT to make fun of those trends, or photographers who are into any particular style. This is just to help other see why I choose to edit how I do.
MY EDITING STYLE is what I call bright and vibrant, but true to color (and @freedomedits fulfills that vision for me). I believe in creating a timeless image that doesn’t alter the true color of the moment, or overexpose blacks until they look gray, or anything that would later be looked at as dated.
I think this is MORE important now than ever, because so many people have their own brands and feeds that me swaying the look of the image one way or another will make it more difficult for them to match in their photo feeds (esp for brand and lifestyle clients). Giving a true edit allows them the freedom to easily throw their own filters (and no I really don’t care if my clients do that). MOST importantly, I try to stay away from editing styles that, while all together on an Instagram feed might look great, when compared to true color images you realize just how crazy off those colors are (particularly in skin tones).
To each their own, not hating on anyone’s style or brand, just chatting about my editing philosophy. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
