A young woman with long brown hair stands in a dimly lit gym or workout space. She is wearing a white crop top that exposes her midriff, black leggings, and an oversized bright yellow hooded sweatshirt. Her expression is pensive and contemplative as she gazes off to the side. The background is slightly blurred but reveals exercise equipment such as kettlebells, medicine balls, and what appears to be a weightlifting platform or squat rack. The overall atmosphere suggests a gritty, no-frills fitness environment.

The Weekend Struggle

Another week down. Every week I try not to think of what’s happening in the world; I put my head down and work at home like I always do (and thankfully have live-in childcare to support that), but the weekends I really feel it. That’s when the reality sets in and I struggle. I struggle entertaining/not yelling at my kids. I struggle with never having any rest or alone time. I struggle with my incessant need to always be doing something (however my first attempt at chocolate biscotti this weekend was a good consequence of that need). My struggle is minimal compared to others, I know, but we all struggle, and it’s not a comparison game. We didn’t ask for this fight, and we’re all tired of it. But let’s all be strong enough to stare it in the face, new everyday, and give it hell. Photo by @alexiscuarezma - Clothes from @carbon38
