Streamlining My Photography Business

There’s a reason I have ZERO backlog. Even during the crazy 2021 season, that ALL of my clients still had their photos within 3-4 weeks AND THEIR FINAL ALBUMS in less than six months. It’s because I REFUSE to not run my business, like a business. HERE’S WHY: 1️⃣ I’m not good at everything. At least not the best at everything. So why would I deprive my clients of the absolute best by insisting on doing everything myself? 2️⃣ I physically can’t do everything myself while continuing to deliver things on time and be there for my family. Why would I want to deprive my family of me, or stressed out about late turnaround times for my clients? 3️⃣ Good CEOs of successful companies find incredible people to work with them towards their business goals. I’m blessed to have found a team of amazing people that I know make my business run smoothly and I’m happy to take notes from successful CEOs. And to top it off, I like employing people. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 4️⃣ My time should be spent on things that I love to do, as well as client and networking facing activities, like meeting wedding planners, being accessible and able to talk to my couples whenever they want, and attending and speaking at photo and wedding conventions. Those things will make me a heck of a lot more money per hour and sitting behind my computer editing photos, plus they’re more fulfilling to me as a person. 5️⃣ I get to spend more time doing what I love, taking pictures. I didn’t decide to be a photographer and quit my day job to plop myself back behind a desk for 40 hours a week. TELL ME, how do you run your business? Do you have a team of people that help you? Do you use companies and vendors that help with your workflow? If not, tell me what’s stopping you!
