The image depicts a person performing an advanced yoga pose on a hardwood floor against a plain white wall. The person is wearing black leggings and is upside down, balancing on their shoulders with their legs and torso pointed straight up towards the ceiling. Their arms are extended down towards the floor, providing support and stability. The pose requires immense strength, flexibility, and balance. The text overlaid on the image reads 'ARE YOU BREATHING?' in large, bold letters, drawing attention to the challenging nature of the pose and the importance of conscious breathing in yoga practice.

Pushing Limits Through Breathwork

The funny thing about yoga is that they tell you that you know you've gone too far when you've stopped breathing. This pose here is quite a difficult pose to breathe in. What is interesting to admit is that I can't always breathe in it and sometimes I need to back off from a pose that in my head I feel I should always be able to do. Two life lessons here: The obvious one is that in life too you can tell when you've gone too far by observing how you're breathing in situations, but the other angle is that you can also tell when you're not pushing yourself enough by noticing if you're breathing too easily. Are you doing things in your life that you can always breathe through? Or are you pushing your limits, finding them and working to stretch them until you can breathe there too? Photo by @moshezusman
