Meet the Woman Behind the Camera

Oh hello! 🙋🏻 I'm Vanessa, the woman behind the camera. :) 📸 I rarely talk about myself here. Truth is most of what I do day-in-day-out ends up on my stories but since I officially have a new headshot thanks to @ninogallego and @makemeup_eva I figured it's about time! So here are some few known things about me. • 1. Joy is not my last name. It's my middle name. My last name is Adams because I'm married to super-talented videographer @robadamsfilms • 2. I have a few wacky things that get me energized. Essential oils from @jessicaleeeo - @bulletproof coffee (see my stories today!) - Synaptol for the ADD - and wiiiinnne (red wine with SUPER dark chocolate). • 3. I have two kids - 3yo Felicity (who is jumping on my back right now being super cute) and 8mo Judah (who is smashing his face into mine and smiling). Full disclosure - I get more stressed mommin' than I do workin' but my goodness my heart just melts for these two. • 4. Wedding photography is only half of what I love to do. My other half of life is spent educating photographers and small business owners and I'm sponsored by some really cool companies (@canonusa @animoto @profotousa @adorama @weddingwire) that make it possible for me to frequently travel world-wide speaking to crowds of thousands. I'm proud to say that I recently looked at my numbers over the past 9 years of owning a business and I've grossed well over $2,000,000 in wedding/portrait photography alone. Wow - I'm not one to #humblebrag but DAYMN I worked hard for that so I'm gonna!!!! • 6. I am an open book and answer almost every DM that comes my way so if you ever have questions about weddings, photography or running a business, ask away. :) • That's all I got!
