Internet Debates: Do Minds Ever Change?

Tell the truth, have you ever been involved in an Internet fight? . Now I firmly believe in freedom of thought and expression, but has anyone’s mind ever truly been changed via an Internet site in the comments of some YouTube video or Facebook post? Most people post on controversial subjects just to say their piece and not to truly listen to anyone else. Hey, most people post controversial subjects just to say their peace and get some views on their content. No hate on any of that but I’d venture to guess to say no, no one’s mind is being changed and civil discourse is rarely involved. But even still every once in a while I succumb to the desire to get my piece in... so guilty here 🙋🏻‍♀️ . . .
