How to Raise Prices Without Losing Clients
This is the SCARIEST THING you can tell a photographer!! Ok, other than one of your cards or hard drives failing on you.
But raising prices is an extremely daunting task and usually leaves us feeling that anyone who says no after we’ve raised our prices, it’s because were too expensive and we should probably lower our prices even lower than they were to begin with.
WRONG
Now, I could go into how to create pricing so you’re profitable, but I already a free video for that that you can get at bit.ly/joypricing. Instead I wanna show you two different ways to raise your prices that won’t send your clients running for the hills and won’t send you into therapy.
1️⃣ EVERY time someone books your highest package, raise your prices; they would have paid you more. Someone gave me this piece of advice a long time ago and I really wish I remember to because it’s one of the best pieces of financial advice I’ve ever been given. You don’t have to do this by a lot, in fact they usually only do this by $250 on top of all of my packages at a time. It’s a baby step that’s not going to freak anyone out including yourself.
2️⃣ Offer more to your existing clients. An easy way to raise your bottom line is to work with the clients that already trust you and offer them more options. This might mean that you decide to become a full-service photography studio and offer printed products like albums and wall art. It might mean that you start offering other services like styling or mini sessions. Whatever it is that you decide works for your studio, your clients that already love your work and trust what you do are going to be the first people to grab new things from you.
I have tons of advice and information on true and tried practices that have help me double my income and my photography business. Naturally, I also have a FREE CLASS about it that you can watch at bit.ly/livephotojoy.
