Choosing Love

It's garbage day today and I saw a big stuffed bear holding a red heart that said “love” out by the curb. It got me thinking about the story of that bear. I wondered if it was an angry ex-girlfriend that threw out an ex-boyfriend's gift. Or maybe it was a gift from a parent to a child that was no longer wanted. It got me thinking about why I like to photograph weddings. Weddings are a day where two people choose to love each other and truthfully it's the easiest to choose to love each other on that day. The days and years that follow afterward, some are easy and some are hard. But to stay married you have to keep choosing love instead of throwing it out to the curb.
