Capturing the City at Twilight
My favorite thing about this photo? How beautifully it will print.
A small piece of advice for new photographers that will have a big impact: INSISIT on printing your images.
See them off the screen and how your edits look on paper. Make sure that your vision for the photo is seen all the way through to the final product. You will be a better photographer and editor because of this process, but (debatably) more importantly you will be a full service photography studio, not stopping with just capturing the story, but finishing the job by telling the story too.
You’re responsible for taking the photos that your clients will cherish enough to print. Don’t let them die a digital death for generations to miss out on.
That’s why I do not take on any weddings or engagement sessions or maternity sessions that don’t have a printed product, typically an album, in the booked collection.
Ok - hopping off my soap box now :)
