Capturing Love's Fleeting Moments

This nighttime shot is the perfect example of why I love having @profotousa in my arsenal. My assistant and I walked outside to set up the nighttime shot. The plan was that we take a second and set it up and then she would run inside and get the bride and groom. But when I walked outside I saw the sun was setting perfectly and it wasn’t going to be around much longer, so instead of having her help set up, I told her to run inside and get the bride and groom. This meant that I wouldn’t be able to set up and test my light at all before the bride and groom got there. I set my exposure in camera as if I was just photographing the sunset, turned my Profoto B 10 on TTL and handed it to my assistant with a grid on it to hold as she was walking back with the couple. I positioned the couple, told my assistant where to point the light, and shot. Bam - perfect. I locked the light power in by switching to manual on the b10 and got this final shot in just seconds.
