#ad Are you using film professionally? Here are five things film CAN’T do and why I DON’T use it when people are paying me. 1️⃣ It can’t give me instant backups 2️⃣ It can’t hold a whole job4️⃣ It can’t be backed up to six places, in three separate states and two different countries that night like I backup my digital files5️⃣ It can’t be ready for me to edit (and maybe deliver) immediately 6️⃣ It can’t give me a good night’s sleep knowing a chemical or shipping error won’t destroy everything for me and my clientsDon’t get me wrong, film photography is BEAUTIFUL. I learned on film, I developed my own negatives, fell in love with the darkroom (and the smell of fixer - I know, gross) and still have my film cameras (that don’t work - just ask @danielnortonphotographer about that time we tried to do that thing). BUT it does not offer the same security and peace of mind that digital photography does, especially on these super fast and super secure ProGrade memory cards and readers that i like grabbing at @Adorama .
