A bride’s mom once told me “I loved another photographers work but I found it insulting that she was charging $$$$ and at the end of it all literally not handing me anything.” - WOW - First of all, we all know the images aren’t “nothing”, but I absolutely agree with that MOB. Photography, especially wedding photography, needs to be tangible. Here’s 6 reasons why: 1️⃣ You print your favorite photos - won’t your wedding photos be some of the most cherished photos you have? Then plan to print them immediately - statistics show if you don’t print them with your wedding photographer, you likely never will. 2️⃣ Your printed photos are all what you’ll remember best. You’ll get digital photos, but how’s that going for your phone photos? View them much? You’ll cherish printed photos more often and with more people. 3️⃣ Digital photos die a digital death… your kids and grandkids won’t be looking through your phone photos or obsolete USB drives. They’ll absolutely enjoy and pass down your wedding album. 4️⃣ offering printed products is what a full service photography studio does. Maybe you won’t make your printed photography products mandatory like I do but at least offering them won’t leave your clients in a lurch printing their photos at a CVS instead of on professional, archival photography mediums. 5️⃣ looking at your printed photos benefits you as a photographer in your technical skill as well as creativity. There’s a big difference between looking at a printed photo and looking at a photo on an iPhone and you will definitely learn a lot about your photography skill looking at a printed photo. 6️⃣ you will make more money when you offer printed products and that obviously benefits you and being able to put food on your table but it also benefits your client because then you don’t have burn out taking too many jobs to make ends meet and you can deliver faster and better products and services instead. - Let me know what you think in the comments. Do you print your photos? Why or why not?
