The Travel Mum
A young woman in a black bikini stands on a wooden jetty or dock, facing away from the camera and gazing out at the stunning turquoise waters and distant islands under a cloudy sky. She holds a colorful floral sarong or beach wrap, allowing it to billow in the breeze behind her. The crystal clear waters stretch out before her, revealing the sandy ocean floor beneath the surface. In the distance, lush green islands rise from the sea, their verdant slopes contrasting with the vivid blue of the surrounding waters. The scene exudes a sense of tropical paradise and natural beauty.

Serene Island Paradise

• Sumilon island..👀🌴 (underneath all that blue in the background there 😶🙈) • Sumilon island is a tiny island just off the coast of the southern part of eastern Cebu. If you’re in Oslob you will be offered a boat ride here every 30 seconds while walking down the street. We had a free afternoon and so gave in and paid the 1500 pesos for the two of us (around £20) for the return journey there - with promises of the most beautiful white sand bank we will have ever seen and amazing snorkelling... • • This picture was taken on the jetty, with the sand bank well and truly under water (it should be in the background there!) The island is sizeable so we thought it’s fine, we can explore the island on foot - but nope... if you want to leave this wooden jetty area, and go anywhere other than the sand bank (even when it’s under water) - you have to pay 2000 pesos (£28.50) per person as the island is occupied by a resort. They justify this price by saying you can go to the nicer beach (by the resort) and use their pool... Being tight and currently on a money salvage mission, we declared it an outrage and sat (I stood on my tip toes) in the water/on the sand bank. I’m sure if the sand bank was there it would have been great, as the water really is crystal clear - we could have put a towel down and spent the day relaxing there. So check the tides before you go! We snorkelled for an hour or so which required a pretty exhausting swim away from shore into some strong currents to get to see any decent coral... There aren’t any lockers on this wooden jetty area either, so we had to leave my drone, DSLR, our phones, all our money, passports and life possessions sat on a bench, by some shifty looking local guys while we adamantly explored by sea! • • • #philippines #philippine_islands #cebu #cebuphilippines #topphilippinesphoto #girlslovetravel #visitphilippines #globe_travel_ #sumilonisland #teamkaptainkenny #exploretheworld #cebuph #sumilon #igerscebu #beachbum #nikond3400 #paradise #gltlove #tblogger #philippines🇵🇭
