The Travel Mum

Replying to @nxc34054rfz I dont mean any hate to this person at all, but its a great example of how not to be towards a new parent (or anyone really). I understand people will disagree with some of the things we do, we all have opinions and ways of doing things. But its much kinder to keep negative opinions to yourself if the only purpose of your comment is to try and make someone sad. Like many women I had a really traumatic birth, i almost died just two weeks ago. We spent all of our savings on IVF to have this baby, so on top of dealing with trauma, I cant afford not to work, I dont get mat pay.. I dont want sympathy, we are lucky to be in this position. But my point is you should try to consider where someone might be mentally before deciding to say something that could be the “straw that breaks the camels back”. Especially about a baby which is very loved and well looked after. And a mum who is doing her best. Post partum depression is real, and we should be supporting new mums not critising and trying to bring them down. #bekind #newmum #newborn #newbornbaby #postpartumdepresssion #birthtrauma #secondaryinfertility #postpartumrecovery
