Holiday in Portugal's Algarve Region

* Your next holiday to PORTUGAL 🇵🇹 * With the recent announcement that Portugal is on the UK’s Green List, so many of you have been in touch asking where to go and what to do whilst there. I am biased towards the Algarve being the best place to go, it is where my partner is from and where his family live. We’ve spent a lot of time there as a family and it really is the most amazing place. I am doing a series over on Tiktok showing the best things to do in the Algarve - I’ll feature a different town in each post and post extended info here. Part one is all about “Lagos” (pics above). ❂ Getting there: Ryanair do some really cheap flights to “Faro” - Lagos is around a one hour drive from the airport. Lots of companies arrange private transfers for around £60 return. ❂Top things to do in Lagos: 1. Walk around the main town within the castle walls. Enjoy a coffee and Portuguese tart as you watch the world go by. 2. Go beach hopping. There are lots within walking distance to the main town. Praia da Dona Ana, Praia Do Camilo and Praia dos Estudantes being our favs. 3. Take a cliff walk by Ponta Da Piedad. 4. Hire a kayak and explore the many coves and beaches off the Lagos coast. 5. There are tonnes of water sports available in Lagos. Windsurfing, kitesurfing, actual surfing! Kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and jet skiing just to name a few! ❂ Best time to visit? We prefer April and Sept/October - the weather is still beaut and you’ll find plenty of empty beaches. The hottest weather is found in July and August, personally we find it a bit unbearable and the main beaches are always packed. #lagosportugal #portugal🇵🇹
