The Travel Mum

Here’s something a bit different today - I thought I’d share a little insight into our everyday life when we’re not travelling! Leo (our 5 year old) is at his Nan and Grandads house today so things have been a lot calmer than usual! People are always intrigued to know how our business works, and it’s always a lot less glamorous than what people think 😅 In short, we help people find the best value holiday deals and we can earn a commission on certain bookings through affiliate programs. We’re passionate about providing free, helpful information to make it easier for you to plan trips and save money. We always wanted our income to come from the big businesses and not the customer. Pretty much all travel companies have an affiliate program, so we can promote a wide range of brands honestly and authentically. If you like our advice and purchase through a link, the company pays us. Even if a brand doesn’t have an affiliate program, we will still share it with you if it is offering something great (like in today’s easyJet newsletter for example, none of those links were affiliate links). We also make money through brand deals and content creation, but again we are very selective in who we work with to ensure we are offering you the best recommendations and advice. In a world where everyone is trying to sell you something, we put a big emphasis on staying authentic and not just plugging any old brand offering us a fee! #thetravelmum #familybusiness #newlife #newbusiness #newbaby #smallbusinessowner
