The Blumes
A monumental statue of a sphinx-like figure with a human face and leonine body stands prominently against a dark night sky. The statue appears to be made of stone or concrete and is illuminated by dramatic lighting, casting long shadows. It has a towering headdress and large piercing eyes, gazing outwards with an enigmatic expression. The statue's massive scale and striking features evoke the grandeur and mystery of ancient Egyptian architecture and mythology. This iconic structure serves as the entrance to the Luxor resort in Las Vegas, bringing an air of extravagance and theatricality to the desert landscape.

Staying at the Luxor Pyramid in Las Vegas

First time spending the night in an Egyptian-style pyramid.. in the middle of the Las Vegas desert. Pretty amazing! . This is the entrance to the Luxor resort, where I’m staying this week for WPPI, the photography industry’s big Vegas conference where we’ve been teaching, learning with 15k fellow artists, and making lifelong friends for 6 years now! Thank you, @shootproof, for sending us and investing in the community again this year. :) . If you’re a photographer and haven’t been yet, I hope we’ll see you here next year!
