The Blumes
The image is a reflection captured in a side mirror of a vehicle, likely a car or truck. The mirror provides a framed view of a residential neighborhood street lined with houses and trees on a sunny day. The street appears to curve gently, leading the eye down the serene suburban landscape. The mirror itself is slightly tinted, lending a cool blue hue to the reflected scene. In the foreground, a glimpse of the vehicle's chrome trim and side paneling is visible, hinting at the perspective from within the vehicle's interior. The image conveys a sense of tranquility and the promise of new journeys ahead.

Moving From Roots to Roads

As we pull up roots and pull our new home on the road behind us, I’ve been asking myself, “What really makes a happy home?” Is it a manicured lawn and a lot of square footage? Those things are great, and we’re so happy we have our “rooted” home base to come back to. But even when you strip away many of the conveniences of a traditional home, you find downsizing can actually broaden your horizons! Our new neighbors are the people we meet all around this country and our backyard is millions of acres of national parks. I hope we never cease to stretch and grow, and we’re loving this new uprooted season!
